In Literature we finished reading a book titled ,"Blizzard's Wake," Written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. This book is inspiring and touching, it might even minister to your heart. I recommend this book because the theme and setting of the story is very well written and I learned so much from this book. Many readers like myself, will enjoy this book, I mostly enjoyed the fact that it is similar to a metaphor. I myself have learned that you have to forgive yourself before you can forgive someone else.
What is this book about?
This book is about a fifteen year old Kate Sterling who lost her mother in a tragic car accident, four years ago, she is beginning to disconnect with her family, also about a twenty-three year old Zeke Dexter who was released from prison for negligent homicide (killing a woman in an accident), he wonders if anyone forget about his past and his mistakes. During the hard times Kate and Zeke were going through, a blizzard comes near them. Kate begins to sink in sadness and hatred. Will she ever forgive the one that who took her from her mother? Will she be able to reconnect with her Family?
Author's Purpose
The author's purpose was to explain to the reader about forgiveness, grief, and love, and that Forgiveness is the key to moving on.
The author made this book very interesting. I would say the grade level is from 8th-10th grade but anyone will love it. Many will learn that hatred and vengeance is not the way to deal with something.
I will continue to write about more book reviews.
Were Zeke and Kate related? Or was it just a look into two different people's lives going through similar struggles?
