Bible Study Notes

Topic: Reflecting the Character of the King

We are called to reflect the character of Christ.
               - How well is Christ reflected through your life?

We often get caught up in looking at what we lack instead of thanking God for what we have.
God doesn't give you anything what he does not want expressed in your life. If it is a weakness, he will use it for his glory. If it is your personality he will use it.

Whatever you posses you need to express.
If it comes from God, you need to express it but there are certain things you must suppress. Don't let people who don't appreciate your gift, allow you to turn it off.
If God puts something positive in your mind, Speak It Out!
If you never take the time to commend a person for the right they do,
don't take the time to criticize them for the wrong!
Stop looking in a public place or in people for what can only come in the secret place of worship.
               - How God-focused is your worship and prayer time?

The highest manifestation of character transformation is LOVE!
You demonstrate love for other people when you carry or meet their need.

You have to form character by being responsible and consistent. BUILD CHARACTER BY THE CONSISTENCY OF WHAT YOU DO!

Character is who you are in totality. Character is the sum of 4 ingredients:
            1. Personal Identity
            2. Emotional Security
            3. Ethics and values
            4. Self Discipline
              1. Discipline is deciding what I want MOST over what I want NOW!

Reflection on Journal Entry of 2013

I need to learn to "Rise and Shine" in order to get to my goals and accomplish what I set out to do. I should wake up with a motivation to achieve something everyday. In Bishop Bronner's Sermon "Rise and Shine", he focused on how we should move on after things go wrong in our lives. We should learn from our mistakes and move forward, instead of sulking or condemning ourselves. Until you get up, you can't get our or move on! I also learned that you can't move on and grow if you keep a hold of whatever distracts you or hinders you. You'll never get what you deserve when you get attached to the things you need to let go of! I must do what I can with what I have and start where I am.

Reflection on Journal Entry of 2013

On August of 2013, Bishop Dale C. Bronner spoke on reflections of how people see themselves. He preached on change and how " conversation is the birthplace for change." This means in order to begin the process of change you must admit your flaws and be accountable. Bishop also stated that " when you change your position, you will change your perspective." Sometimes we have to change our position to get a better perspective of our situation.

One thing Bishop said that stands true to me is that "Distraction is the Destruction of your dreams in slow motion!" I have witnessed how distraction can slowly take you away from your focus and sabotage good plans no matter how big or small the distraction. Instead of chasing distraction, I should lead. A leader is someone who "goes before others go and sees before others see"

A leader is always looking ahead. "If you aim at a moving target, you have to aim ahead of the target."

Weekly Reflection 15 Jan 4 - Jan 10

This week I made a list of spiritual, educational, physical, relationship, and financial goals. Each day I read a proverb and reflected on a past journal entry. As far as educational goals, I have made a plan to take 4 CLEP tests to earn credit for classes I didn't pass in Fall Semester of 2014. I also made a plan to complete my driver's ed course and ADAP course program, in order to get my driver's license. This week I have completed my ADAP course and earned my certificate. I haven't been to the gym like I planned to but if I stick to my goals I will be able to make time for workout. I have been more communicative with my parents and working on my attitude.

My Devotion

As a result of living in sin, I was God's enemy. But I am reconciled through the death of Christ in his body. I must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it without drifting from the assurance I received when I heard the Truth. (Colossians 1:21-23). I have killed all the sinful, earthly things in me because these sins will bring the wrath of God (Colossians 3: 5-8). But now I will put on my new nature and be renewed as I come to know Christ and become like him. I have died with Christ, and he has set me free from the spiritual powers of this world (Colossians 2:20). I will let my roots grow down into Christ and led my life be built on him. Then my faith will grow strong in truth I was taught and I will overflow with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7). I will work willingly at whatever I do, as though I am working for the Lord rather than people (Colossians 3:23). I will devote myself to prayer with an alert mind and thankful heart. <3

My Student Biography

Valencia  is an honorable student just entering her junior year of high school with a GPA of 3.8. Recently accepted in the dual enrollment program at a local community college, she anticipates earning her Associates in Computer Science along with her high school diploma before she is legally able to drive. At an early age, her parents set her on the path to success by choosing to home school her in a Christian environment with high standards. Her acceptance in Duke's Talent Identification Program offered her the opportunity to sit for the SAT examination at the age of eleven. By thirteen, she had passed her high school exit examination. Although she makes schooling her first priority, she enjoys singing, blogging, and expressing her creative abilities in graphic design, video production, and photography. Valencia is a humble accomplished achiever who understands that discipline, motivation and faith produces excellence. She is a role model who exemplifies the meaning of 1 Timothy 4:12.

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

1-2-13 Memory Verse

2 Corinthians  5:17 NIV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here!

The Holy Bible says we should be confident that we will obtain our heavenly bodies when we leave our earthly bodies. Jesus died for us so that we may live and have life in him. When we devote our life and submit our heart to Jesus, we become new in our mind and spirit. We must die in our flesh to be made anew in Jesus Christ. As he died for us, we must die in our will for his.

My 2012 Reflections

This year was spectacular. I have learned so much about myself and what needs improvement in my life. This year holds precious cherishable memories. My baby brother was born in April. My  younger brother received his purity ring at 13. I had the privilege to pull out my baby sister's first tooth. I have shown myself to be trustworthy and responsible in some areas but other areas not so much. On my 14th birthday, I drove with my father to the movie theaters (I did great) and we had a father- daughter date. I opened my first savings account at a credit union with the help of my mother. I was hired by a friend to houseclean for her once a month. My first day I did an amazing job but on my second time I got fired. My bad attitude and  lack of communication  caused me to perform poorly towards my given tasks. I learned to be humble, respectful and to have stewardship over what I'm privileged. I have learned that when you make a commitment, 1. stick it out 2. work it out 3. follow it through. I have realized that academics isn't just the only type of education. I must improve on my life skills. As  far as my academics, I have been accepted to Georgia Perimeter College and  plan to start classes the summer of 2013.  I believe this year was a year of commitment and  opportunities. God has put my family in many situations so that our emotions and thoughts would be exposed and we would change our perception and attitude. 2012 was truly a blessing but I pray that 2013 will be a year of spiritual maturity as I step into my junior year.

Happy New Year

Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from my stupid sins, from thinking I can take over Your work. Psalms 19:12-13

Revised 10/15/2013 from my journal entry July 23, 2012

The act of rebellion is a sin against God and His word. The act of rebellion is deliberate disobedience or defiance. Yesterday, I was rebellious. When given specific instructions by my father to complete a task, I had determined in my mind that I didn't want to do what he said exactly the way he said it. In the Bible, Saul, a great king over Israel, rebelled against God and his orders. God instructed Saul to go and kill the Amalekites and everything in their possession.Instead of following God's commands, Saul decides to spare the King of Amalek, Agag, and some of the Amalekites' animals based on his own logic. 1 Samuel 15:23 says "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou has rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king." Samuel suffered the consequence of rejection from God, and the loss of his title as king because of deliberate disobedience. Rebellion is the resistance against authority. Samuel rebelled against God because he thought he had a better plan that what God desired.Rebellion against God or your parents is like a slap in their faces as you willfully reject what they say. This is why Jesus sent his son to pay the debt for our sins that we may have life, but we must submit our will to Him and deny our flesh.

Clean the slate, God, so we can start the day fresh! Keep me from my stupid sins, from thinking I can take over Your work. Psalms 19:12-13

Juice Recipe #2

Today I made an Apple Lime Lemon juice. All I did was cut 4 Honeycrisp apples, (Doesn't really matter what kind, as long as they are apples.) I peeled and diced 2 limes, and 1 lemon. After all the fruit is cut, I put it through the juicer. I was DELICIOUS and not too sour. Maybe you could try it. This is a very simple recipe.

My Summer

This summer was a fantastic summer. Although my siblings and I do homeschool year round we still have fun. My mother took us to Lake Lanier and we had a BLAST!! We swam in the wave pool, slid down water slides, ate ice cream, and we even went to the beach. I was about to walk in the water until I saw MINNOWS SWIMMING IN THE WATER! Just yuckie. Anyway, it was cool. We also went on a trip to Louisiana to Houston,Texas. We were going to visit my dad's mother (Memaw) in Louisiana and my mom's father in Houston, Texas. I got to see my cousins, my aunts and uncles and my great- grandmother. Whenever we visit my family in Louisiana , Memaw would always reminisce about the good old days. We visited places we've never been such as Whataburger, a fast food restaurant, their breakfast was the bomb. Also, another place is H-E-B, a grocery store. Where I live we have a Kroger and a McDonalds, in Texas they have an H-E-B and a Whataburger. H-E-B stands for Here Everything's Better. On our 13 hour road trip we brought Oden my puppy. We had a blast with him my cousins loved him, my aunts, 10 and 9, were frightened by his looks, he has very dark fur. We were happy to bring him, although there were some issues, it was difficult to find a pet friendly hotel. We eventually found a motel in Louisiana and a hotel in Houston. That wasn't all we did this summer, our cousins from Denton, Texas visited for a week. During that week my church had a communion called Koinonia. There were classes for adults, children, and teens. Each day my cousin, 15 and I would go to the teen classes. The classes were also based on grade, because I am in 10th grade, I could go with the teens. There were classes about purity, wealthiness, and planning for our future as young adults. I really enjoyed the classes. My cousin and I also went to a jewelry class together to make pendants with metal. It was hilarious, we laughed, and joked about each others projects, we encouraged and supported each other when the other was skeptical about finishing their work. In the end we both had BEAUTIFUL PENDANTS. My cousins had to leave later, but we were glad to have spent 2 weeks with them. This was the best and most memorable summer EVER! :)

I Still Remember!!

I was scanning through older posts on my blog and I went to my page "About Me, Testimonies" and saw my last post "Set Free". I started reading about the dream I had and when I got to the part about never forgetting the angel's I saw the face. All the sudden I had a picture flash in my mind of the angel's face and that dream. I could feel and see everything that happened in the dream, its all picture clear. In my post "Set Free" I wrote that I would never forget the angel's face and a year later I haven't forgotten.

THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!

Today my youngest sister turned 5. My family went to a young chef's academy to go cook our very own mini pizza, and decorate our own cupcake. On Friday my dad booked a hotel for us to stay in. Its what my family calls a "Staycation" where we are still in our city just away from home. She really loved that. I went out to buy her a Baby Alive Baby All Gone, a special request from my grandma. My mom and I wrapped it in princess paper, in the hotel room. It was a struggle to hide it away from her. But we did. "THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!," she said.

Thank You Jesus!!!

In July my mother found she was pregnant. I am estatic, I am going to be a big sister to another child. Today my mom went to get an ultrasound. She is 11 weeks 5 days. The baby is the size of a lime. I convinced my mom to get an app called Baby Bump for her phone. It is a pregnancy tracker. This will be her 6 th baby, and my 8th sibling. My whole family is hoping its a boy. I, personally do not care what sex it is, as long as it is healthy. This pregnancy is the most memorable of all my younger siblings. My mom is sometimes emotional, happy, sleepy. I try not to get in her hair. She has been getting " Baby Brain" that is a case where she forgets random things like her keys, or she misplaces her phone. Luckily she has a wonderful daughter, moi, who grocery shops and can help her figure out her problems. This is the best thing that has happened all summer. I am so excited

My day

On August 30th, I woke up with a pain in the lower right side of my stomach. I was in so much pain that I couldnt stand straight. I told my mom and she said it was indigestion, but I know I my body. This was no indigestion. I got my siblings dressed, because she had an appointment to go see her ob/gyn. My side still hurt by time we left the doctor. We went a resturaunt and I ordered soup, while I was eating I felt super dizzy. I went to the restroom and vommitted 3 times. My dad did research and said it could be appendicites, where my appendix would have to be taken out. So my mom took me to the doctor, who said he wasn't sure what it was. He transfered me to a hospital. They took blood and gave me liquids. They punctured me THREE TIMES......AND IT HURT. I was there from 3pm to 11pm, because of tests. Becuase my side still hurt after they gave me meds, they needed to do a ct scan. After the scan, they found out I had a 4 inch ovarian cyst. My grandmothers and grandpaws were praying that nothing was wrong. I was able to go home that night. I absolutely loved the staff and nurses there they were so caring and patient.

Menstrual Cycle

I'll never forget February 16, 2010 the day I came on my cycle. It was early in the morning around six-fifty and I had been cramping the week before. The pain was, well, painful. After my mom told me It was my period, she rejoiced, while I sat just staring at her. Dancing, praying and calling friends is the last thing I expected my mother to do, on this day. In my point of view, "I'm cramping," in hers, "Whoo hoo Hallelujah." My 10 year old brother on the other hand was shocked, speechless, and spooked. "I never thought this day would come, ever," he said. My father left to work early that day around 4 o' clock, so he didn't see what had happened.

I was surprised the next day when my father decided to take my family out to dinner. In celebration of my period. I never thought that my period would be such big news. I reacted a little to much, but this is a big deal! With all the excitement going around the house, I was able to relax all day long, except for when I had to clean up a mess one of my siblings made.

I am so grateful I am home-schooled. My mother planed out a school calendar, for my brother and I. It turns out the week I started my cycle was the week we were on break. I am so grateful, it saved me the embarrassment. A teacher comes every week to teach my other siblings. When I learned that most girls don't tell or hadn't told their parents they had a period because they thought their parents would get angry, I was grateful I had parents who didn't despise the fact I had a period, and who actually rejoiced. I am grateful because most children my age wish to have parents like mine.

My perspective changed that week.

God's Lil' Lamb Purity Vow

I have made a vow to the Lord that I will stay pure and holy until I get married. In this video, this ring symbolizes the commitment I have made with the Lord. This is a covenant between me and the Father. I am blessed with the most wonderful and faithful parents I could have asked for. They are raising me according to God's will. I will honor them with the most respect. My parents bestowed this ring to me not for showing off its beautiful looks, or to show that they got money. (Yes, I did say got.) They presented it to me as a symbol of my vow to God. It serves as a reminder that I belong to Christ. When my dad placed it on my ring finger, he told me it was to remain there until my wedding day. I found out that it serves as a reservation for my wedding ring, that's why it is worn on the left ring finger. While girls go live with their boyfriends, I am going stay pure until God sends me the love of my life.

Hope you enjoy the video, and music.

Should Christians Celebrate St. Valentine's Day

Should Christians participate in the celebration of St. Valentine's Day? Most would answer,” Why wouldn't they?” Why not, one would say, Valentine's Day is a celebration of love. People might say Valentine's Day is a celebration of love, but what kind of love?

In the Bible, Jesus says to love your neighbor as you love yourself. What kind of love should you have for your neighbor? Is it the same kind of love people share on Valentine's Day? Around Valentine's week, commercials and advertisements convince people to buy their product. Such as,"Send a special one a bouquet or a box of chocolates." If you really think about a person, send them an unexpected gift.” Do we need to name a day were we have to buy something for someone. This is not the kind of love Jesus states in the Bible. Jesus wants us to have Godly love for one another.

There are many types of love, but only one TRUE love. People share brotherly love, such as giving to the poor or sending an uplifting card to senor citizens. There is true love, and unconditional love. True love is the love a committed husband and wife share. True love is expressed through commitment or covenant with someone. Unconditional love is the love God has for us. God's love is shown through forgiveness, blessings, correction, mercy, and grace. This is the love Jesus states in the Bible.

Love expressed on Valentine's Day is a counterfeit love. Competition partakes in this event. Let's say you take your wife on a picnic, in you living room, by candlelight. Your friend takes his wife to an expensive restaurant. The wives might get together to see whose husband gave the best gift, or took them to the best place. Another example, let's say children in a school class compete to see who has the best gift. A child might come with a handmade card. Another might brings boxes, in the shape of a heart, full of chocolate. The first child might feel their gift is worthless, compared to others. Competition takes part in this holiday.

If you truly love someone the way God loves us, why show off on a specific day. Express your love everyday. Godly love is the only true love.

The Book of Proverbs

Last month, for each day I read one chapter of Proverbs in my Bible. The book of Proverbs speaks of wisdom and why we should desire it. Proverbs 1:7 says,"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instructions."

There is a difference between knowledge an wisdom, wisdom is understanding how to use our knowledge. Proverbs speaks of the benefits of wisdom, in Proverbs, Solomon personifies wisdom as a female who cries in the streets to reach out to people.

"The purpose of Proverbs is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise." Proverbs 1:1

SAT Practice Test

My brother and I took another SAT practice test two weeks ago. I was surprised by my grades, I definitely improved. The first time I took the test I made a score of 1005, the last test I took was 1254. I am very proud of myself. I have improved very much. I really am grateful that I have this opportunity to take practice test. Not many people can take practice test, many children just go and take the test and others probably don't understand how to take the test. I am so grateful I have a mother who take the time to teach my brother and I, I thank for God for blessing me for a mother that sacrifices her time to teach. She is my role model.

SAT Practice

The last few days my brother, mother and I have been practicing for the SAT Test we are next year. My brother and I have been taking practice tests just so that we can feel how long we will be taking the test.
The test is 3 hrs and maybe 45 min. So far our grades are great for a seventh going on eight grader. My mother says the highest score to past is 1500, I made a score of 1203on the first test, but I will do so much better. We didn't really have test taking strategies, so we sometimes guessed on problems. At first I thought my brother and I weren't ready for this test because some of the problems on the test were complicated, then my mom told me that this is a test to see how much you know. Last Saturday we took the test again I made a higher score, I scored 200. Although we are getting better and better and definitely more prepared.

Devotion # 3

August 2, 2010

Questions:  What happened in the Great Flood?

In this devotion we discussed the flood God sent to destroy the earth. Read and learn what learned about the flood.

What happened in the Great Flood?
God will punish, bless, forgive, and supply. The day Adam and Eve sinned, every child they had were sinners. The moment the world fled with people, the world fled with sinners. People were so wicked in their doing. The Lord was furious, so He choose a man named Noah to do something great. God instructed him to build an ark, because of Noah's obedience God  saved Noah and his family. God made a rainbow to show that he would not destroy the earth with water. Next time God will destroy the earth with fire.

It's snowing!

On Sunday December12 my family and I went to the movies to see Narnia : The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. When we walked out of the theater, it was snowing. We all enjoyed the snow. It was 30 degrees, so the snow didn't stick.

Hope you have a blessed and most beautiful holiday.

How was your Thanksgiving?

I would love to here about your Thanksgiving weekend, but you're probably wondering how mine went. My mother and I cooked so much food we still have leftovers. My godmother and her two children came over to visit. We ate, laughed ,watched a movie, had pie, and ice cream. Everyone was stuffed and tired . Something about holiday food is that one meal makes you feel like you've had four meals. For lunch we had Lobster Bisque from Brio, and we made cornbread dressing (of course, what's thanksgiving without cornbread dressing),and other thanksgiving foods, like ham. We had an awesome time. Tell me how your thanksgiving went!

Deliberation and Decision

On Sunday 7, 2010, my pastor Bishop Bronner preached on deliberating and the meaning.

 Verses : Joshua 9:15

Deliberation is true wisdom when you realize what the future consequences are of your current decision. With every decision you make, there are consequences. When you are in a situation and have to make a big decision ALWAYS I mean ALWAYS deliberate with God and ask Him what should you do. Also, when making a big decision take a nap. If a man asks for your hand in marriage, take a nap and rest . Ask and DELIBERATE with God, say," is this your will for me." Seek the counsel of God. Your decision will only be as good as your information.  Sometimes when you make the correct decision, you will feel as if you made the wrong decision. I remember three years ago I was in fourth grade(I was in public school), the boy in my class was so cute I thought he liked me. During Valentines week , he asked me if I liked him. He also asked my best friend if she like him, and he would give her his lunch money, if she said yes. Some kids told the teacher what happened, my teacher asked my friend if it was true. I didn't want to tell because he was so cute. I didn't want him to think I was a snitch(a tattle tale). The day before, mom and I were talking about that boy and we were talking for a long time. While the teacher asked me to tell the truth, I remembered the talk dad, mom,and I discussed. I told the truth, but I felt horrible with the friendship with him. Even if I made the right decision. Every decision you make, there is a consequence.

When you make a decision.........DELIBERATE WITH GOD!!

Devotion # 2

July 29, 2010

Questions: What are the effects of Sin today?
What is the Remedy for sin?

Since the day Adam and Eve ate the fruit, sin has taken place everywhere. Everyone born in this world is a sinner. God gave us ten commandments to obey. People in this world are disobeying them, sinning against God.

What are the effects of sin?
Some effects of sin are children dishonoring parents, murders, thieves. Many other things, God hates sin so much, I can't imagine how he can still love us after the sin we commit in our lives.

What is the Remedy for sin?
God has a cure a remedy for sinners. If we bow down and worship Him, accept his Son as our Lord and Savior. Jesus will cleanse us from our sin, we will be set free. God promises many things that will satisfy us. Peace, Tranquility, Everlasting love, Life , and Satisfaction. With Christ we overcome temptation, and any trick or plan Satan implants in us to sin. Think of this as a chain, as  my daddy  explained it to me, Adam and Eve are now sinners, then sin of parents are carried down to the children.

Devotion # 1

Today I will start posting all my devotions from my home school.

July 28,2010

Questions: What happened in the Garden of Eden?
How does that effect us today?

In today's devotion we discussed about Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Everything God created was good, including man. Adam and Eve were made in the image of God. Adam and his wife were free to do anything they pleased, the had power over everything. There was one thing God told them specifically not to touch, the tree of life.

What happened in the Garden of Eden?:
One day a serpent cane to Eve and tempted her to eat the fruit of the tree. After Eve had ate of the fruit, she gave it to Adam , her husband, and ate of it. After they ate of the fruit they acknowledge their sin, and hid from God. God asked them and gave them a chance to tell the truth if they had eaten of the tree. Yet they blamed each other.

How does that effect us today?:
God cast them out of the garden, and told them they had cursed their generation of children with sin. That effects us today because we are born of sin, and evildoers. I thank God that he sent his son to die for us, and cleanse us from our sins.

Starry Night Chris August

From the Birds that Sing, In the Tallest Trees.
To the Human Life, of you and me.
From the Desert Sands, to the place we stand.
He is God of All, He is Everything.

Waohhh

I'm giving my life to the only one who makes the Moon reflect the sun.
Every Starry Night, that was His design.
I'm giving my life to the only son, who was and is and yet to come
Let the praises ring, 'cause he is everything
'Cause he is everything

From the Autumn Leaves, that will ride the breeze
To the Faith it takes, to pray and sing
From the Painted sky, to my plank filled eye
He is God of all, He is everything

Waohhh

I'm giving my life to the only one who makes the Moon reflect the sun.
Every Starry Night, that was His design.
I'm giving my life to the only son, who was and is and yet to come
Let the praises ring, 'cause he is everything.

Ohhhhhhh (everything)

Hallelujah (Hallelujah)
Hallelujah
I believe
Ohhh
Hallelujah (Hallelujah)
Hallelujah
I believe

I'm giving my life to the only one who makes the Moon reflect the sun
On that Starry Night, He changed my life.
I'm giving it all to the only son who gave me hope when I had none.
So let the praises ring,
Ohhhh Let the Praises Ring

I'm giving my life to the only one who makes the Moon reflect the sun.
Every Starry Night, that was His design.
I'm giving my life to the only son, who was and is and yet to come
and the Angels sing, that he is Heavenly

So let the Praises ring
'Cause he everything

It's My Birthday!

I am now 12  years today. I remember yesterday before today I was so happy now it's my b-day. I am not as happy as I was cause now I'm 12. 12 Years ago I was in a diaper saying Dada as my first word. The years go by so fast.

Free to be Me Francesca Battesteli

At twenty years of age I'm still looking for a dream
A war's already waged for my destiny
But You've already won the battle
And You've got great plans for me
Though I can’t always see

(Chorus)
‘Cause I got a couple dents in my fender
Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together
But perfection is my enemy
On my own I'm so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see
I'm free to be me

When I was just a girl I thought I had it figured out
My life would turn out right, and I'd make it here somehow
But things don't always come that easy
And sometimes I would doubt

(Chorus)

And you’re free to be you

Sometimes I believe that I can do anything
Yet other times I think I've got nothing good to bring
But You look at my heart and You tell me
That I've got all You seek
And it’s easy to believe
Even though

(Chorus)

Francesca Battesteli Beautiful Beautiful

A beautiful song.

Don’t know how it is You looked at me
And saw the person that I could be
Awakening my heart
Breaking through the dark
Suddenly Your grace
(Chorus)
Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful
Now there’s a joy inside I can’t contain
But even perfect days can end in rain
And though it’s pouring down
I see You through the clouds
Shining on my face
(Chorus)
I have come undone
But I have just begun
Changing by Your grace
(Chorus)

A Truthful Speech

“Why do we sleep in church, But stay awake through a 3 hour movie?
Why is it so hard to talk about God,
but so easy to talk about gross things?
Why are we so bored when we look at a Christian magazine,
but find it easy to read Playboy?
Why is it so easy to ignore a Godly myspace bulletin,
yet we repost the nasty ones?
Why are churches getting smaller,
but bars and clubs are expanding?
Why is it so easy to purchase beer and drugs?
But so hard to donate 25 cents for a Charity?
Why is it so easy to worship a Celebrity,
but very difficult to engage with God?
Why do people laugh at you for being religious,
but praise you for thinking dirty and vain?
Think about it, are you going to repost this?
Are you going to ignore it, cause you think you’ll get laughed at?
80 % of you won’t repost this.
[Jesus] said: ‘If you deny Me in front of your friends,
I will deny you in front of my Father.’
96% of people WON’T stand up for God…
Put this on your profile if you’re one of the 4% who will, cause I am"

Set Free

All week I was struggling, I couldn't get my mind right, it was hard for me to pray, it was difficult for me to focus, I was under spiritual attack.  One day I was listening to my favorite song writer,Nicole C. Mullen, and when I was searching for another song, I saw a song I hadn't heard before, I'm 'Gon Be Free, I played it and and listened to it over and over, My cousin was badgered by it. It was the most precious song you could hear. That night when I went to bed I was in a deep sleep (the best sleep you could have). God had given me a dream. In this dream, I was driving along with daddy in the city, everything was wretched. In my dream my daddy had the most peaceful voice in the world. I began to see a change in his eyes. Suddenly, I knew God had speaking to me through my daddy. God said," Look at the Clouds,"The clouds were so beautiful, from the car looking outside was like looking at a panoramic view. One specific cloud I saw, was the brightest cloud of all. Behind that cloud was a figure that was to bright for my eyes to see, but I saw a face, It was Jesus, the Son of Man. Angels gathered EVERYWHERE. God exclaimed," YOU ARE FREE," Angels everywhere began to sing that song I was listening to all day I'm 'Gon Be Free. One specific Angel, I don't think I'll forget his face, reached his hand toward me and lifted me up. When I saw the angels face. I woke myself from the dream. Why? I have no Idea, but it was magnificent. That day forward I was encouraged to continue to pray. I was set free!

Home School

We have been changing things up a bit these last few weeks. My family and I have been coming up with schedules. Before we created a schedule, we used wake at 7:00am or whenever we want, but now we agreed to wake up at 6am in the morning. I like this new schedule because we are responsible for a task that we must complete, there's always something to do. Mama has been coming up with the school schedules. She has created a syllabus for my siblings and I to follow. so whenever she is at her desk trying to assign work, we don't have to sit and wait for to give us something else. Now we are on a roll. God is giving us such creative things to do. My favorite part in the morning is waking up and thanking the Lord for a new day, and waiting for devotion to begin.

P.S it's been a while since I have blogged, but I'll try to stay in touch.

God loves the pure-hearted.

Revised 10/15/2013 from my journal entry Aug 1, 2010

Recently my Aunt and cousins came to visit us on extended vacation...So there are nine of us living in this 4 bedroom house...

Of course in a house of nine we have our ups and downs.  I try not to be bossy, but it's a bad habit.  I take after my father, who loves order and I love getting the household chores done before play.  I try to show my maturity and how much I truly love order.  But temptation always creeps in from the pit of hell to distract me. Sometimes I succumb to it.  Other times I overcome it through the strength of Christ. Learning more each day as I walk through this life.  I am going through trial and tribulations, if I continue to walk by faith and not by sight, I won't be led off my path.  I keep telling myself, "Stop trying to control everyone." I am learning everyday.

God loves the pure-hearted. Proverbs 22:11

VBS- Vacation Bible School

"If you know God placed us on this earth and if you know that he wants us to take care of it. Then why forsake it when he has never forsaken us?" - Anonymous

Last week my family and I went to Vacation Bible School at Crossroads Presbyterian Church. Their theme this  year was Step Up and Go Green For Jesus!. All week we discussed how we can conserve energy, and other things dealing with the earth. To be honest, I am not the type of person who talks about, the earth and save the planet or mother nature. It's not in my interest, until learned the verse. Genesis 2:15 "And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." I was quick to judge and didn't wait to find out what I was in for. One of the teens in the church made this awesome statement. "If you know God placed us on this earth and if you know that he wants us to take care of it. Then why forsake it when he has never forsaken us?" I learned that the average aluminum an American uses can make ALL the parts of an airplane. That means we use alot of aluminum, and just in ONE day. I learned alot of cool stuff. Now at home we are trying to conserve energy at home by avoiding simple things such as not leaving the water on when brushing your teeth, and turning of the lights when you don't need them, use the sunlight.

God Bless
