Homeschool

I have 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. I am homeschooled with my 1 brother and 2 sisters. When my mother told us we were going to be homrschooled, I was happy. I thought homeschooling would be kind of easy and fun. I was wrong, I thought my mother was trying to be hard on us, I was learning things that my teacher in  school didn't even teach. I believed that my mom was a hard teacher. As we were going through the third month, I started to see that she was right, she wasn't wrong, my teacher just hadn't taught the stuff I needed to now.We are now in our second year of homeschool. I am so blessed to have my mom.

  1. Wow, I encourage you to learn all you can learn while you are still young, when you get older you will be thankful that you have a mother that only wants the best for you!

  2. Dearest Valencia,

It has been a long time since I have seen you. I homeschooled Vaughn for one year, 8th grade, and had I known then what I know now, I would have taught him from home beginning with 4th grade into 9th grade. I have since learned that there are also programs for parents who want to homeschool through high school which provide support for those subjects parents aren't enough of an expert on to instruct.

I love your blog and will continue to follow your Christian journey. Your parents have a lot to be thankful for for they have a blessed daughter. There aren't many young ladies and you definitely are allowing your light to shine. Keep studying and being obedient to His WILL and you will prosper.

Also, since I teach 9-12th grade Language Arts, let me know if you need any help or if your mom needs any ideas to enrich the curriculum.
